Christmas Trivia Book Funds Soar With '84 Award
In memory of Tyrone Area High School Class of 1984 graduate Amy Emenhiser (1966-2011), Class of '84 alumni Matt Swayne, Jennifer Chuang and Craig Weyant have collaborated together to self-publish a Christmas-themed, humorous and light-hearted question and answer trivia book titled Amy's Holiday Trivia -- 84 Questions from the Class of '84. Profits raised from the sale of this book will be used to help fund the TAHS Class of '84's Soar With '84 Award, a memorial that honors our deceased classmates by giving a cash gift to one Tyrone Area High School graduating senior.
After our graduation from TAHS in 1984, the high-spirited and always-eager Amy assumed the position of Tyrone Area High School Class of '84 Reunion Committee President. She was responsible for keeping track of all our classmates, as well as organizing fundraisers and planning our future events and class reunions. It was her strict mission to keep the Class of '84 connected.
Amy also loved Christmas, especially all the seasonal cheer, festive decorations, classical traditions and trivial tidbits that envelop the holiday. As social media grew, Amy's online presence was energetic. One Christmas season soon after Facebook launched, and with all her friends and acquaintances actively following her Facebook posts, Amy's Holiday Trivia was born. Amy would post holiday-related trivia questions to her timeline while her friends replied with their responses. Correct answers were rewarded with an enthusiastic "Ding, ding, ding!!!" The interaction she created amongst friends was infectious and uplifting. After Amy died in 2011, the tradition of hosting the online Christmas trivia game was carried on by Amy's friend and classmate, Matt Swayne. This book is a collection of some of those questions and answers.
For book lovers, trivia buffs and Christmas enthusiasts, Amy's Holiday Trivia makes a great gift exchange or stocking stuffer. For philanthropic and charitable Tyrone Area High School alumni and local residents, know that your purchase will positively contribute to a TAHS graduate's future. So start your Christmas shopping early while supporting a great cause because Amy's Holiday Trivia is on sale now at Amazon!
